Hair Transplant Operation with FUE Micromotor
The day of application is decided after the patient has been examined in detail with a digital micro-lens and it has been confirmed that it is a suitable FUE candidate. On the day of operation, after drawing the patient's hair and shortening the hair, numbing the donor area with local anesthesia begins.
Healthy hair follicles are extracted, from the donor area with the help of a special micro motor. Tissue pieces (grafts) containing single, double, three or four strands are carefully collected. Collection of follicles takes approximately 1.5 hours. After the collection of healthy follicles, hair transplant starts. The recipient area, is numbed with local anaesthesia, and the channels where the roots will be planted, are opened, at the appropriate angle, and line at a depth of 3 mm. Then the collected follicles are placed in the opened channels. Finally, the FUE hair transplant is completed after, the application of a medical dressing to the donor area.
This should be done with the utmost care, since it is really important that the hair follicles are positioned according to the natural line and angle.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of FUE micromotor?
FUE method has certain advantages and disadvantages as in every application.
One of the advantages of this method is that it does not require stitches. After hair transplantation with FUE method, there is no visible scar in the donor area. There may be very few incisions and wounds after surgery; these also heal spontaneously without the need for external intervention. Another positive aspect is that there is no pain in the donor area after graft removal. These and other similar advantages are the positive aspects of FUE hair transplantation.
It is possible to talk about the negative aspects of FUE hair transplantation. One of the negative aspects of this method is that it is not suitable for everyone. In other words, some tests are performed before the procedure and if the damaged grafts are detected before applying this method, the procedure is not possible.
Another disadvantage of this method is that the individual uptake of hair follicles is laborious. If the operation is to be performed, most of the head needs to be shaved, which is seen as a disadvantage for many people.
